Answers to the questions our patients ask most.
Yes! SmileNOW Dentistry is welcoming new patients of all ages. You can book online through our website or call us at (951) 735-7300 and we will find a time that works for you.
We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans including Delta Dental, Cigna, MetLife, Guardian, Aetna, and United Concordia. Our team will verify your benefits before your first appointment at no charge. We also offer an in-house savings plan for uninsured patients.
Yes. We work with CareCredit which offer 0% APR financing options for qualified patients. Ask our front desk about current promotions — many patients qualify for 12–18 months interest-free.
Call us immediately at (951) 735-7300. We reserve same-day slots for emergencies including severe toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken crowns, and dental abscesses. If you reach voicemail after hours, follow the prompt for emergency instructions.
Most patients benefit from a professional cleaning and exam every six months. Patients with gum disease, a history of cavities, or certain medical conditions may need more frequent visits — typically every 3–4 months. Dr. Cruz will recommend the right schedule for you at your exam.
Dental implants at SmileNOW Dentistry typically range from $3,000 to $5,000 per tooth depending on whether bone grafting is needed. Many PPO insurance plans cover a portion of the cost. We offer free implant consultations and financing through CareCredit.
Professional teeth whitening performed or supervised by a dentist is very safe. We use clinically tested whitening agents at concentrations that are effective without damaging enamel. Over-the-counter strips and kits from the grocery store are far less effective and may cause sensitivity when overused.
Absolutely. We welcome patients of all ages and love treating young patients. We recommend a child's first dental visit around age one, or when their first tooth appears. Early visits help establish good habits and prevent anxiety about dental care.
Common signs include a persistent toothache, prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold, a darkened tooth, or a pimple-like bump on the gum near a tooth. Only an X-ray and exam can confirm whether a root canal is needed. Many patients are surprised to learn the procedure is no more uncomfortable than getting a filling.
Invisalign uses a series of custom clear aligners to gradually straighten teeth without metal brackets or wires. Most adults and teens with mild to moderate crowding, spacing, or bite issues are good candidates. Schedule a complimentary Invisalign consultation and we will show you a digital preview of your results before you commit.
The full process typically takes 4–6 months. After the implant post is placed, the jawbone needs 3–5 months to fuse with the titanium (osseointegration). Once healed, the abutment and final crown are placed in a follow-up appointment. Same-day implants are available for select cases — ask us if you qualify.
Yes. We keep same-day slots available for dental emergencies and urgent concerns. For routine cleanings and exams, we typically have availability within 1–2 weeks. Call us at (951) 735-7300 first thing in the morning for the best chance of a same-day appointment.
